The movie that changed my life. Being a kid growing up in the 70s, sports like wrestling, and roller Derby, what's something we would watch together as a family. I never went to either event live, however I really did enjoy roller Derby.

Roller ball opened up in Winnipeg, on July 25th 1975, that was a Friday night, I want the next day, to the showing at the Garden City cinema in North End Winnipeg. I sat there in anticipation, assuming I was going to see roller Derby on the big screen. The opening scenes, and the music, from Bach toccata in D minor, absolutely blew me away. Obviously at the time I knew very little about moviemaking, but the sound of that organ filling the theatre, on that Saturday afternoon, was both thrilling and ominous at the same time.
